Project Description

Telling Modena with the words of those who lived it, through imaginary interviews with 32 distinguished personalities who have been part of its history: this, in short, the editorial project of Corrado Lavini, published by Edizioni Athena, who -with an approach certainly unusual- retrace the roots of this city.

In the cover design, the bell tower of Ghirlandina, symbol of the city of Modena since 1179, is placed in the foreground in a foggy night-time setting: the mist tarnishes the contours of reality, setting the context of the interviews «halfway between the reality and the dream». Each character is presented, within the volume, by an image and a brief biographical description to contextualize its era and historical contribution.
